What is the 2008 Leadership Conference theme?
The 2009 Leadership Conference theme is Practical Leadership: A Balanced Approach.

As Minnesota’s nonprofit sector enters a time of transformation, leaders are increasingly required to be efficient and practical in their work, in order to maximize impact while resources are tight. Leading in these times also necessitates a balanced approach – negotiating hundreds of decisions and capitalizing on those that are most important; implementing necessary business changes while understanding and addressing their personal and emotional impact within the organization; and on a personal level, maintaining physical and emotional health while dealing with increasing stressors at work, and at home.

At Practical Leadership: A Balanced Approach, you will join your colleagues to learn, recharge, and take stock of practical leadership tools and leadership practices at the personal and organizational levels. This day-long conference is geared towards leaders in all roles within organizations – including senior leadership, those who are leading from the middle, and emerging leaders. At Practical Leadership: A Balanced Approach, you will gain tools for assessing, planning, and implementing; have time for self-reflection; get breaking information for leaders on current nonprofit conditions; and be included in rich network-building opportunities.

When and where will the Leadership Conference be held?
The conference will take place at the McNamara Alumni Center in Minneapolis.

Thursday, June 4, 8:30 a.m. - 4:45 p.m.
