until November 4, 2008 - Election Day!

NEW & INFO FROM THE MINNESOTA PARTICIPATION PROJECT

C3 Table Meeting:
Supreme Court Decision on Voter IDs - What It Means for Minnesota

The United States Supreme Court has finally issued a ruling on the constitutionality of requiring photo IDs from individuals before they are allowed to vote. In a 6 - 3 decision on Monday, April 28, 2008, the Supreme Court upheld the right of Indiana to require photo IDs from individuals before voting. On Wednesday, May 7, Professor David Schultz will present on the implications of this important Supreme Court decision and what it means for Minnesota.

Come learn more about this issue and how nonprofits can respond to the looming threat of voter IDs in Minnesota.

Jonathan Mauer-Jones, from TakeAction Minnesota, will present their new Election Protection strategy of election judge recruitment as one of the best ways to ensure our elections are run smoothly and with the best interests of voters in mind. This will be your opportunity to plug into this exciting effort!
