ORGANIZATION SUMMARY:
Cabrini Partnership was founded in 1985 and is a nonprofit organization licensed by Hennepin County to provide housing and comprehensive support services to adults diagnosed with mental illness and/or chemical dependency disabilities (80% of our residents are dually diagnosed) and have subsequently experienced long-term homelessness.



JOB TITLE: Director of Programs

PRIMARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Cabrini Partnership is seeking a Director of Programs who will be responsible to the Executive Director for ongoing program development, planning, implementation, operations and outcomes to the organization’s programs.

The Director of Programs is responsible for 3 programs with an annual budget of $2,431,309. Direct Reports: 4 full time managers/supervisors along with 7 to 8 on-call staff. Cabrini Partnership has undergone a period of extensive growth; the Director of Programs will have the opportunity to introduce new program ideas as well as maintain and improve the ongoing high quality of Cabrini Partnership’s services.

Key Responsibilities:
• Supervise staff and support the development of programs and outcomes
• Work with Executive Director and Management Team to provide continuous quality improvement, and implementation of strategic plan.
• Work with other organizations including the state and county mental health, chemical health and homeless divisions to assure best practices as it pertains to the Cabrini Partnership’s mission, key values, and strategic plan.
• Develop and manage annual program budgets.
• Write government grants and reports.
• Engage the staff with on-going planning and feedback from external environment.
• Promote values, mission and vision with all external publics. Advocate for public policy and funding that supports that same mission.
• Maintain and develop new program collaborative partners.

EXPERIENCE AND QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS:
EXPERIENCE AND QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS:
• 3-5 years management level experience in decision making, financial oversight and personnel supervision.
• Master degree in Social Work with a LISW license. Bachelor’s degree required.
• Demonstrated ability in developing funding sources and strategies. Familiarity with government funded programs that address homelessness, mental illness and chemical dependency. Government grant writing experience preferred.
• Excellent communication skills, including writing and public speaking.
• Experience managing mental/chemical health programs and knowledge of local resources.
• Preferred experience in adult residential facility management.
• Significant past success in a leadership role.

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION:
The Cabrini Partnership Transitional Housing Program provides housing and supportive services for up to two years in a community setting that facilitates increased self-sufficiency for individuals with chemical dependency and mental illness. We serve approximately 60 individuals each year, 23 at a time.

Cabrini Partnership also provides Permanent Supportive Housing in apartments scattered throughout the metro area for individuals who are persistently mentally ill and chemically dependent. These residents include individuals who previously had lived in the Cabrini Transitional Housing Program, as well as long-term homeless adults who come directly from “the street” or emergency shelters based on program eligibility. We currently serve 105 individuals with a goal of welcoming another 25 to 30 homeless adults this year.


Volunteer Programming and Employment and Training is an important aspect of the Cabrini Partnership Programs to enhance self-reliance. Our Volunteer Program provides opportunities for people from the community to give their skills and talents through mentoring, tutoring, assisting with community building activities; in addition it also provides opportunities for the Cabrini residents to give their skills and talents to the community by volunteering in a broad range of organizations. Our Employment and Training Program provides pre and post employment skills as well as job search and computer training.

Our success is evidenced when our clients acquire the skills, find the supports and gain the confidence they need to move toward self-reliance.
