Pro-Choice Resources provides a range of sexuality education and resources. We work everyday to provide high-quality sexuality education and resources to communities with the most barriers to accessing this information and services. Our programming includes sexuality education, advocacy, financial assistance and outreach. PCR is not a political organization and is not affiliated with any other national or local organization. Established in 1967, the mission of PCR is to aid adults and youth in realizing their right to make decisions about their bodies by breaking down the barriers to reproductive health that keep them from fully expressing their personal freedom.



JOB TITLE: SEXUALITY RESIDENCY COORDINATOR
LOCATION: Twin Cities Metro

TYPE: Full Time    DEADLINE: Open Until Filled

PRIMARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
The Sexuality Residency Coordinator is a full-time position and is responsible for coordinating our Sexuality Residency as well as delivering skills-based sexuality education to youth and adult populations ages 10 and up. The Sexuality Residency is the first program of its kind in the nation to provide pre-service teachers extensive training in delivering high-quality sexuality education to middle and high-school age students. This position is responsible for meeting programmatic goals of a 2-year ground-breaking grant funded by Ford Foundation. This position will work in collaboration with PCR’s Associate Director and Director of Sexuality Education. The position reports to PCR's Director of Sexuality Education.

EXPERIENCE AND QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS:
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
• A commitment to Pro-Choice Resources’ mission and values
• Experience working with targeted or marginalized youth including youth of color and LGB or Trans youth
• Direct experience in Human Rights work, issues or movements
• Willingness to travel regionally and nationally, must have valid driver’s license, insurance and reliable vehicle
• Ability to cultivate and maintain relationships with teachers and community organizations
• Able to work some evenings and weekends
• Able to work with controversial issues in a variety of communities
• Excellent ability to coordinate, plan, prioritize and manage multiple deadlines
• Excellent public speaking skills, writing and communication skills.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
• Direct experience working with youth and/or teachers
• Direct experience in sexuality work, issues and movements including Reproductive Justice
• Demonstrated experience with and/or commitment to issues affecting low-income communities and communities of color, including health disparities, poverty, oppression and access issues.
• Understanding of unintended pregnancy, abortion, and other reproductive health issues
• Proficiency in a language other than English

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION:
Salary DOE with benefits package which includes: Health and dental insurance, 200 hours of paid time off (PTO) per year, 11 paid holidays + 3 floating holidays, reduced summer hours, short and long term disability, and life insurance.
