SUMMARY:
The Dodge Nature Center is a non-profit organization operating a 300 acre nature preserve that provides environmental education and outdoor experiences for thousands of people each year, primarily K-8th grade students.

TITLE: Environmental Education Intern |
LOCATION: Twin Cities Metro

SALARY: $145/40 hr work week
TYPE: Intern
/ 20 hours

PRIMARY
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Presentation of environmental education units to various audiences • Preparation of instructional materials for environmental education program units • Daily care of reptiles and amphibians collection • Assistance with seasonal projects (apiary, orchard, sugarbush, taxidermy, etc.) • Participation in special events
EXPERIENCE
AND QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS:
• Knowledge and interest in natural history and environmental education • Enthusiasm for working with children in an outdoor setting • 2+ years of college coursework in environmental education or a related field • Ability to work well independently and as part of a team • Applicant must be available at least 20 hours per week
