US Green Building Council Mississippi Headwaters Chapter, established in 2003, is a 501(c) 3 non-profit organization with a mission to transform the way buildings and communities are designed, built and operated, enabling an environmentally and socially responsible, healthy and prosperous environment that improves the quality of life.

TITLE: Grant Writing/Fundraising Intern |
LOCATION: Twin Cities Metro

SALARY: unpaid
TYPE: Intern
/ 16 hours
DEADLINE: open until filled
PRIMARY
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
1. Handle a significant volume of grant submissions to corporations and corporate and private foundations.
2. Prospect identification, research, proposal/grant development and writing, and accurate and timely production of final proposals.
3. Assist with 2009 individual and corporate donation campaign as needed.
EXPERIENCE
AND QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS:
Required Skills/Experience:
* Excellent writing skills * Strong research and analytical skills. * Proficiency with MS Office, including Word, Powerpoint and Excel. * Good organizational skills. * Ability to manage time efficiently and to multi-task. * Ability to work as part of a team.
Desired Skills/Experience:
* Understanding of grant research and grantwriting. * Understanding/experience with event planning and fundraising
