are answers to some frequently asked questions about searching the
Minnesota Council of Nonprofits Job Board. If you have further questions,

HOW
DO I VIEW ALL THE AVAILABLE POSITIONS?
To view a full list of all the positions in MCN's Job Board, leave
all the default settings at "ALL." This will allow you to
view all Full Time, Part Time and Internships in all the Job Categories (eg.
Executive Director, Financial Management, Fundraising and Fund Development,
etc), in all
geographical regions of Minnesota and Outside Minnesota, in nonprofit
organizations, government, and business.
HOW
DO I NARROW MY SEARCH TO ONE JOB CATEGORY?
You can narrow your search to all the jobs in just a single category
by choosing a category from the dropdown menu under Search by Job Category.
This will show you all the available positions within that category.
You can further narrow your search by Employer Type, Location, and
Job Type.
CAN
I SEARCH MORE THAN ONE CATEGORY AT A TIME?
No. You can search one category at a time, or all categories. You cannot
choose more than one category, such as Executive Director and Administrative,
at the same time. You must submit those searches seperately.
DOES
THE JOB BOARD HAVE JUST POSITIONS IN NONPROFIT ORGANIZATIONS?
No. The Minnesota
Council of Nonprofits Job Board has positions
from nonprofit organizations, government, and
business. You can choose which sector to search
from or search from all sectors by selecting
from the Search by Employer Type dropdown menu.
The MCN Job Board primarily contains positions
from within the nonprofit sector or working with
the nonprofit sector.

I SEARCH FOR JUST PART TIME JOBS?
Yes. You can search
for Full Time, Part Time, or Internships. To
narrow your search select which type of position
you would like from the the Search by Job Type
dropdown menue.
CAN
I SEARCH FOR POSITIONS CLOSE TO ME?
Yes. You can narrow
your search by selecting one of 8 regions in
Minnesota, (eg. Twin Cities Metro or Northwest
Minnesota) or Outside Minnesota. To narrow
your search select which region you would like
to search in the Search by Job Location dropdown
menu.

ORGANIZATION HAS A POSITION WE WOULD LIKE TO POST. HOW DO I
POST A JOB OPENING?
MCN nonprofit members can post
jobs to the Job Board at no charge. There is
a slight fee for nonmembers and businesses. Posting
a position is very simple. It involves completing
an online form with the details about the position
and submitting payment (for nonmembers and businesses)
through MCN's secure shopping cart. For more
