Nonprofit and County Partnerships: Assessing State Budget Cuts and Service Delivery
1919 University Centre, St. Paul
April 14, 2005

Minnesota’s nonprofits have a unique relationship with local governments, and these partnerships are an effective way to deliver essential services. Budget cuts passed during the 2003 legislative session have had a serious impact on Minnesota’s nonprofits, and on their allies in local units of government. In this briefing, County Administrators from Hennepin, Ramsey, and Dakota County discussed the impacts their agencies have faced as a result of 2003 legislative decisions, and what they are anticipating in light of Governor Pawlenty’s 2005-06 budget proposal.
