Shelly serves as Manager of Operations and Human Resources of the Minnesota Council of Nonprofits, where she coordinates a number of MCN's internal functions including primarily operations and human resources. Prior to joining MCN in 1997, Shelly spent 7 years fundraising for social justice organizations. She holds a B.A. in Political Science and Russian Area Studies from the University of Minnesota, and expects to complete an M.A. in Nonprofit Management from Hamline University in 2009. For the last ten years, Shelly has worked as a dance educator and dance artist in the local performing arts community and has served on the boards of several local nonprofit arts organizations.
