Ruth Duran Deffley is the membership and chapter coordinator at the Minnesota Council of Nonprofits. She joined MCN in May 2008 and is responsible for overseeing all aspects of membership including three regional chapters in greater Minnesota. Before joining MCN, Ruth interned at the Advocates for Human Rights, House Research, St. Paul Human Rights Department and Hennepin-Powderhorn Partners. She spent two years working at the Center for Victims of Crime in San Francisco and spent a semester teaching English in Beijing. Ruth recently graduated from the University of Minnesota with a M.A. degree in public policy from the Humphrey Institute and a M.S.W. from the School of Social Work. She has a B.S. from the School of Foreign Service of Georgetown University.
