The Nonprofit Mission Award for Innovation recognizes creative
applications and non-traditional approaches to solving community

with other nonprofit organizations, businesses and governmental
agencies in their effort

Initiative
The Nonprofit Mission Award for Anti-Racism Initiative recognizes an organization that:

Mission Award: Responsive Philanthropy
This award was established to recognize the creative partnership between funders and
organizations in mobilizing community resources for public benefit. The recipient of this award demonstrates:

Responsiveness to citizen
initiatives

Recognition of public policy issues and long-term strategies to fight
problems

Commitment of substantial resources to disadvantaged people and Minnesota communities through a process of dialogue and
partnership
Nonprofit
Excellence Awards
The Nonprofit Excellence Awards recognize the two Minnesota nonprofit organizations that best demonstrate the
Principles and Practices for Nonprofit Excellence. Award criteria are based on quality, responsibility, and accountability as defined in MCN’s
Principles and Practices for Nonprofit Excellence. One organization with an operating budget of $1.5 million or more will receive $5,000 and a
commemorative award; and one organization with an operating budget of less than $1.5 million will receive $3,000 and a
commemorative award.
