About
the Selection Process
The Nonprofit Mission Awards recipients were selected by a majority
vote among MCN member ballots cast. The process began with a call for nominations
in the spring of 2007. A selection committee narrowed the field
of more than 75 nominees to the three most exemplary candidates
in each category.
About the Awards
Presentation
The Minnesota Council of Nonprofits and MAP for Nonprofits honored the recipients of the Nonprofit Mission Awards along with the winners of the
Nonprofit Excellence Awards (which are selected
separately by a blue ribbon panel) at a special luncheon ceremony as a part
of the Minnesota Council of Nonprofits Annual Conference on October
5, 2007 in Duluth. Each winner received a short video about their honored work,
a Minnesota-made art glass award and a financial gift (with the exception of Responsive Philanthropy).
